PROJECT:
Modern Urban Flair
A classic “Love it or List it” scenario, the owners of this residence were torn between selling their home or plan for an extensive remodel. Originally built in 1996, this 2009 square foot home had the common challenges faced in most remodels but the owners had lived in it for 20 years and loved the neighborhood.
HIGHLIGHTS
Pre-Planning – AFT met with the owner’s and their interior designers to come up with a plan to completely remodel this residence. This planning helped ensure the owners were getting an open layout and features they desired with this project.
Windows Issues – The original builder never flashed and waterproofed the windows creating leak problems when it rained. AFT created a plan to address the issues and ensure a safe, leak free space.
Kitchen & Wine – Opening up the space was a must for these owners. By removing an entire wall, AFT was able to open up the first floor and more than double the size of the kitchen space. To maximize storage, AFT built a temperature controlled wine cellar under the stairs creating a showpiece in the living space.
RESULTS
AFT seamlessly worked with the owner’s and their team to create an open, urban-inspired space that works well for their daily lifestyles. Cheers to happy clients!
