Megan Schauers – Project Coordinator
AFT Construction is pleased to welcome another new hire to the team with Megan Schauers joining us as a new project coordinator. Megan brings along extensive experience in the solar energy industry as well as permitting and client relations. We are excited to have Megan on board.
Here’s more about Megan:
What does your role entail?
Assisting the project manager and clients to ensure project coordination.
Most recently I had the opportunity to work for a solar company. I loved the process of permitting and construction.
What do you enjoy about working in the construction industry?
I enjoy working together as a team to see the project come together and work towards completion.
What type of construction is your favorite?
I love seeing the finished project and to see the detail in the work.
What do you enjoy about working for AFT Construction?
I am excited to join the AFT team!
What was your first job?
Worked at a frozen yogurt store.
Where were you born?
What advice would you give to someone who is considering a home remodel or building a new home?
Have a vision and know your end goal.
Best advice you were ever given?
My grandma would always say, “you can do hard things.”
Do you have any hidden talents?
Cooking without relying on following a recipe.
When is the last time you climbed a tree?
I cannot remember the last time I climbed a tree, but I love to be outdoors and sitting in the shade of a tree.
What is your favorite drink?
Water or sparking water with berries and limes.

I don’t follow sports teams, but I love watching and going to sporting events.

Strawberries and Angel food cake.
Mexican food, I love the variety.
If you had a time machine, would you travel back in time or into the future?
Into the future.
If you had a time machine, would you travel back to meet your ancestors or into the future to meet your descendants?
I would travel back in team to spend more time and listen to stories from relatives.
What is #1 on your bucket list?
Travel more out of the country.
