Name: Andrew Clark
Company Position: Superintendent/Cabinet Design
What does your role entail? I schedule and coordinate all trades in the field for multiple jobs. I supervise and manage the quality of each trade. Create a schedule for each job I’m assigned. I also do cabinet design for most projects.
Past Experience/Background: I worked in a lot of customer service related fields from 2006-2014. AFT Construction 2015-Present.
What do you enjoy about working in the construction industry? Every day is different, I learn something new every single day. I love watching a project come to life and seeing the finished product.
What type of construction is your favorite? Remodels – there’s always challenges and hiccups throughout a remodel. The greatest part is working through those challenges and coming out the other end with a beautiful project.
What do you enjoy about working for AFT Construction? I really enjoy the team AFT has. We’re like a family and everyone is always willing to lend a helping hand.
What was your first job? Mowing lawns.
Where were you born? Grand Forks, North Dakota.
What advice would you give to someone who is considering a home remodel or building a new home? The biggest thing I see in the field is a lot of customers don’t realize how many selections and decisions need to be made on these large projects. Hiring a great designer and architect can help alleviate many of these issues.
Best advice you were ever given? If you’re going to do something, do it right.
Do you have any hidden talents? I have some pretty crazy tongue tricks. “The Wave”
When is the last time you climbed a tree? It wasn’t the last time, but the most memorable is when I was climbing a tree in Lake City, Minnesota. I got about halfway up and fell directly into poison ivy.
What is your favorite drink? An ice-cold glass of milk or chocolate milk.
Are you usually early or late? I’d say I’m usually late. 🙁
What age would you permanently be? I enjoy the age I am right now (30).
