The Pathway to Luxury Living: Exterior Pavers

At one of our largest projects in Gilbert yet, Project Blow Your Mind, we’ve begun preparing the job site for PHX Pavers to install Peacock Pavers’ “Dolphin Grey” paver. At A Finer Touch Construction, one of our core values is constructing to the highest quality. We believe it is critical for clients to be introduced to their homes on a smooth and sturdy foundation. Today, we will touch on some of the critical paths to constructing a quality driveway.

Most important when beginning any construction project is understanding the terrain you are building on. The topography of each AFT project is unique, ranging from flat lots to retaining mountain views. Because of this, AFT finds it critical to get a soils report prior to construction. Professional geotechnical consultants will assess the subsurface conditions of the building area and produce a soils report. This document includes important recommendations regarding fill and compaction of the site for proper settling and drainage. Our professional graders understand exactly what we’re looking for once we provide them with complete civil drawings and soils report. This will make the jobs of everyone on site easier, with proper grading, our site is prepared for any subcontractor that needs access to the site to safely get work done.

Understanding our soils report, foundation, and civil drawings, we can attend to any erosion caused throughout construction. We all know when it rains, it pours, and we can jump into action to make sure our site is maintained and ready for PHX Pavers to get to work. They will be installing Peacock Pavers’ Dolphin Grey pavers with square edges in a running bond pattern over sand bedding throughout, as well as mud-set paver steps. PHX Pavers will also install Peacock Pavers’ Dolphin Grey coping with bullnose edges; cemented, thin-set, and grouted, with stainless slot drains and LED step lights.

As luxury home builders, we understand the importance of attention to detail. From meticulously aligning each paver to ensuring uniform spacing and seamless transitions between different areas, we take pride in our sub’s craftsmanship. Our goal is not just to create a visually stunning outdoor space but also to guarantee longevity and durability, standing the test of time against Arizona's harsh desert environment.
